The question of “why” has always intrigued me more than “what” or “how”. While “what” and “how” demonstrate a repeatable process, “why” reveals someone’s intentions and motivations. And let’s be honest, long after a person’s “how” has been exhausted, their “why” keeps them fighting for a cause. In the article below, BEETHOVENSMITH explains why he fights for the Caldari Militia.
Well to be honest faction warfare was a way to fund my account. Caldari FW was the first time I tried FW. I had two friends that were in Minmatar FW, but they moved to Caldari and damn it was good isk vs. low sec rating and high sec living.
Basically I ran missions to make isk while training my skills to try PvP. I liked the solo learning and the challenge to making isk. When I was not making isk I would try to plex/PvP way before you got LPs. After a while I improved my skills so that I could PvP while running lvl3 FW missions all while training for lvl4 mission fit. Later on I decided to look at all sides of FW and moved to Amarr and did well. I also made an alt for Minmatar/Gallente FW and running lvl3 missions I made good isk and got to explore all sides of FW PvP.
Later on, my friend came back to FW and started a new corp, so I moved back to Caldari with him. I supported and helped with the corp. It worked out good; he ran fleets and I ran training. Later I made CEO and everything has worked out all right. FW to me it is easy to pick up and play, and I see PvP as a sport so I try to give and get good fights. If not for FW I would have quit eve long ago.
Why I fight in FW? Because it the best way to make isk and PvP at the same time.
